Top global health experts and Rotary's polio ambassadors gathered at the headquarters of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia, to hail progress made by Rotary and its partners, saying polio is on the brink of eradication.

Rotary, along with , has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.
